Short ball again, Marsh pulls it through square leg for a boundary. Fifty for Marsh! Four!! Short of a length, pulls it through midwicket for a boundary. WICKET!! Full and straight, Marsh tries to loft it straight down the ground, only finds the fielder at long on.
Mitchell Marsh c Nitish Reddy b Cummins 52(31)
Ayush Badoni in at 5.
Zampa is back. Short ball and Marsh sweeps it fine for four. Pant is off the mark with a single. Nine runs came in that over.
Cummins. Pooran moves across and ramps but doesn’t time it well. There will be a boundary check for this. Not a four so three runs off the ball. Now Marsh opens the face of the bat and places the ball past backward point. OUT! Pooran has been given LBW. Pooran has reviewed. Three reds and Pooran falls for 70 off 26 balls. Brilliant knock.
Rishabh Pant in at four. Cummins tests him with bouncers straight-up.
Harshal Patel into the attack. Short ball and Marsh pierces the gap between square leg and midwicket for four. Plenty of slower balls by Harshit. Pooran now gets one in the slot and slaps it towards midwicket for four.
Adam Zampa comes in as impact sub.
Pooran continues his aggressive display as he takes out another slog sweep for a SIX. An 18-ball fifty for Nicholas Pooran. Celebrates his fifty with another slog sweep for a six. Another four, cheekily hit past short fine leg.
Pat Cummins into the attack. Half volley and Pooran smacks it straight past the bowler for four. Now Pooran moves across and ramps over short fine leg for four. A quick single to end the over.

Simarjeet into the attack. Pooran cuts past point for four! Now Pooran gets one in his arc and slogs it over midwicket for a SIX! Beautiful hit again for a six in the same region. Picked off the thigh pads. 17 runs from the over.
Mohammed Shami from the other end. OUT! Markram is gone. He drives straight to mid off fielder. Markram goes for 1 off 4 balls.
Nicholas Pooran in at three. Five wides down the leg side. Four! Marsh picks the ball off the pads and lofts over midwicket for four.
Abhishek Sharma to begin proceedings with his left-arm spin. Mitchell Marsh off the mark with a single. Markram takes a quick single and was gone had it been a direct hit. A very good over.
Sunrisers Hyderabad new recruit Aniket Verma smashed 36 off 13 balls during an IPL 2025 match against Lucknow Super Giants in Hyderabad on Thursday.
Avesh with his final over. Harshal picks up a single off his first. Simarjeet looks to go big but mistimes one straight back at the bowler. The ricochet helps him pick one. Blockhole delivery, hit down the ground for a single. Harshal looks to go down the ground against the full wide ball. Doesn’t get enough contact, and will get only a couple. Seven runs from the final over.
Shardul with a full toss to start the over, slapped to deep cover for one. WICKET!! Shami takes a swipe at a slower, wide one. Hits it straight to short extra cover. No fireworks from him tonight.
Shami c Ayush Badoni b Thakur 1(3)

Cummins c Digvesh Rathi b Avesh Khan 18(4)
Shami in at 10. He picks up a couple to wide mid off to get off the mark.
Shardul back into the attack. Full and wide, Abhinav misses his booming drive. WICKET!! Full and wide, Abhinav looks to carve it over the offside but hits it straight down the throat of third man.
Abhinav Manohar c Abdul Samad b Thakur 2(6)
Harshal Patel in at 9. Six!! Short and wide from Shardul, Cummins lofts it over deep point for six. Six!! Full toss outside off, Cummins obliges by tonking it down the ground for six more!

This time he moves across and smacks a fuller ball over deep square leg for six! Six!! Length ball outside off, lofted straight back over long off for six more. WICKET!! Back of a length ball, Aniket looks to pull over deep midwicket but hits it straight to the fielder in the deep.
Aniket Verma c Miller b Digvesh Rathi 36(13)

Abhinav Manohar in at seven. SIX! Aniket once again finds a slot ball and smashes it straight over the bowler’s head. Another SIX! Similar ball and same shot. Two in two for Aniket. 15 runs from the over.
Prince will bowl out now. Very good bowling, plenty of yorker attempts. Terrific spell this, can he finish it off well. Six runs from the over.
Bishnoi. Nitish steals a double. Was a direct hit from the deep but Nitish was in the crease. Another brilliant double by Nitish; helped by an overthrow. SIX! Aniket Verma gets one in the slot and goes over the sight screen. 12 runs came in that over.
Prince for his third. SRH hasn’t found a lot of boundaries lately. Isn’t the flattest pitch in Hyderabad. Half volley outside off, Klaasen plays a lofted drive and umpires will check whether it’s a six or a four. Four it is. OUT! Klaasen is gone. Nitish hits it straight and the ball hits Prince’s hand and crashes into the non strikers’ stumps when Klaasen was out of the crease. Prince has hurt his hand though. Klaasen falls for 26 off 17 balls.
Bishnoi is back. Reddy goes for a reverse sweep, gets beaten and hit on the pad. A huge appeal, but umpires give it not out. Lucknow reviews. Wicket umpires call, Nitish survives. Half tracker, Klaasen slaps the ball straight for four. Seven runs from the over.
Prince again. He’s bowling well, keeping it full and straight; mixing his pace as well. Two wides in a row now: first a bouncer and then too wide outside off. Terrific over, just seven runs off it.
Digvesh again. Klaasen goes on one knee, clears his leg and slog sweeps way over the midwicket boundary for a six. Another nine-run over for SRH.
Prince Yadav into the attack. He’s welcomed with a four by Nitish. Flicked off the thigh pad towards square leg. OUT! Head is gone. Full and straight, Head goes for a slog and misses it. Both off and middle stump are uprooted. Big fish is gone for 47 off 28 balls.
Heinrich Klaasen at the crease. He’s off the mark with a double. Full toss but he only gets a single towards long on.
Digvesh. Sloppy fielding leads to three runs off the first ball. Misfield by short fine leg fielder and then an overthrow. Head cuts away behind point for four. Digvesh bowls another pretty good over, concedes nine runs.
Ravi Bishnoi into the attack. Head is dropped!!! Tries to slog sweep, top edges it towards long on and Pooran there in the deep drops it. Half tracker now and Head smacks it over off side boundary for a six. Bishnoi might have hurt his finger and he’s getting a quick treatment. Another missed chance! Head smacks the ball straight, Bishnoi stretches his right hand but couldn’t grab it. Eight runs from the over.
Digvesh Rathi into the attack. A front-foot no-ball from the spinner. Nitish miscues the free hit and it falls well short of long on. Short and wide, Head lofts it through wide mid off. A good effort from Markram in the deep prevents a boundary. Another good stop from Miller at short midwicket. Nine from the over.
Avesh with his second. Six!! Not too full, but the perfect length for Head to loft over wide mid on for six! Full and wide yorker, jammed to cover for a single. Back of a length to Nitish, clubbed down the ground. Not the best timing and he’ll only get a single. Six!! Full and wide, lofted over cover for another six! Four!! Length ball, but too wide, Head happily lofts it over the infield for another four.
WICKET!! Shardul goes short, Abhishek pulls it through the legside but finds the fielder at deep square leg.
Abhishek Sharma c Pooran b Thakur 6(6)

Nitish in at 4. Shardul brings out the yorker on the hat-trick ball but Nitish manages to jam his bat down in time. Four!! Another attempted yorker, Head drives it down the ground on the full. Head gets a couple to deep third man. Four!! Full outside off, Nitish drives it through wide mid off for a boundary.
SRH 27/2 in 3 overs
Avesh with the second over. Four!! Back of a length outside off, guided past short third man for a boundary by Abhishek. Two dot balls to follow. Abhishek slashes hard at one, falls short of the man at deep third. Yorker length outside off, Head gets an underage that trickles through to the keeper. Four!! Short ball outside off, pulled past mid on for a boundary.
Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma walk out into the middle. Shardul Thakur with the new ball in hand.
Full and wide of off, Head creams the cover drive but can’t clear the man in the infield. Full, but straighter this time, punched to mid on. Four!! Full again, lofted over Shardul’s head for the first boundary of the game. Low full toss, cut straight to backward point. Another full toss, carved to deep point for a single. Short and wide, swatted to cover for a single.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) viewing experience is a lot like watching one of the films from the Mad Max universe. There’s an almost dystopian feel to the brand of cricket the franchise has championed since last season.
Against Rajasthan Royals in its opener, SRH followed the script down to a T. Ishan Kishan’s statement ton on SRH debut did the unthinkable — overshadowing Travis Head in a T20 game.
That said, the other teams are catching up. Chasing a mammoth 287, the Royals gave Pat Cummins’ men a scare before falling short by 44 runs.
On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) — despite scoring 208 in its opener against Delhi Capitals (DC) — couldn’t get across the line. Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran’s ballistics for LSG went in vain after a blitz from Ashutosh Sharma in the final five overs helped DC clinch the win.
