MI vs RCB IPL 2025: Who won yesterday’s IPL Match? – financialexpress.com

MI vs RCB: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) held their nerve to defeat Mumbai Indians (MI) by 12 runs in a high-scoring contest at the Wankhede Stadium in Match 20 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season.
Batting first, RCB posted a commanding 221/5, powered by a 67-run knock from Virat Kohli and a blazing 64 off 32 balls from skipper Rajat Patidar. Kohli notched up his 99th T20 fifty and crossed the 13,000-run milestone in the format. Patidar, who later bagged the Player of the Match award, led from the front with five fours and four sixes during the middle overs.
In response, MI put up a spirited chase but were eventually restricted to 209/9 in 20 overs. Tilak Varma’s 56 from 29 balls and Hardik Pandya’s explosive 42 from 15 deliveries kept Mumbai in the hunt. However, RCB’s bowling unit held its ground in the death overs, with Krunal Pandya emerging as the standout performer, claiming 4 wickets for 45 runs.
Hardik Pandya smashed four sixes—the most in the game—while Josh Hazlewood chipped in with two crucial wickets for RCB. The thrilling win lifted Bengaluru’s morale as they continue to push for a playoff spot in IPL 2025.
