LSG vs MI IPL 2025 Highlights: Lucknow Super Giants edged out Mumbai Indians by 12 runs in a high-scoring thriller in IPL 2025. Riding on Mitchell Marsh’s explosive 60 off 31 and Aiden Markram’s 53, LSG posted a formidable 203/8, with Hardik Pandya starring with the ball for MI, claiming 5/36. In response, Suryakumar Yadav led MI’s chase with a classy 67 off 43, while Naman Dhir smashed a quickfire 46. But LSG’s disciplined death bowling, especially from Avesh Khan and Digvesh Rathi, kept the chase in check. Despite Hardik’s unbeaten 28, MI finished on 191/5. Digvesh Rathi has been named the Player of the Match for his bowling figures of 1/21.
“I’m really enjoying it. I like to get batters out. I watched Sunil Narine bowl and from that time I took to bowling. I want to make my mindset more attacking, want to be like Narine, on how he stays calm even during pressure situations. (on the Rathi wicket) Before that over, I spoke to you (Pant), we wanted to a mid-wicket. But we did not have one, he looked to play through there and that move really worked for us.” Rathi said as Pant translated.
LSG vs MI LIVE Score, IPL 2025: It’s a battle between two teams from the bottom half of the Indian Premier League (IPL) points table as Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) take on Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday (4 April). Both LSG and MI had made a sedate start despite having some of the biggest names in their squads.
Lucknow are captained by IPL’s most expensive player of all time, Rishabh Pant, while Mumbai have Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav. But both teams have lost two out their three matches so far in IPL 2025 with the batting form of the star players being a concern.
Pant has only scored 17 runs so far while Rohit has 21. Both the cricketers will be in focus as the teams look to revive their fortunes.
MI enter the match with a solid eight-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders earlier this week, while LSG lost at home to Punjab Kings a few days back. LSG mentor Zaheer Khan was livid with the pitch and there are reports that the game will be played on black-spoil pitch, which will assist spinners.
The LSG vs NI match will be played on Friday (4 April) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The match will start at 7.30 PM IST and toss will take place at 7 PM IST.
The live streaming of the LSG vs MI match will be available on the JioHotstar app and website. The live broadcast will come on Star Sports and Sports18 TV channels.
