Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) showcased their batting prowess as they chased down a target of 191 runs set by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) with a convincing five-wicket victory in the most recent IPL 2025 clash on Thursday. Nicholas Pooran played a sensational innings, scoring 70 runs off just 26 balls, while Mitchell Marsh contributed a solid 52 runs. LSG reached their target in just 16.1 overs, going to the second spot on the table.
The defeat saw SRH slip from their top position in the points table, dropping down to sixth place. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) took advantage of the situation and climbed to the top spot due to their superior net run rate. Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) currently occupy the third and fourth positions, respectively. CSK is set to face RCB in the next match on Friday, 28 March.
