All eyes will be on Dubai when India will face off against New Zealand in the Champions Trophy 2025 final. India have been on a dominating run in the tournament, but given New Zealand’s current form, Rohit Sharma and Co. will not take their opponents lightly.
It was Varun Chakravarthy who ran through the Kiwis batting lineup with a five wicket haul. The Indian spinner has been on a dream run but New Zealand will now be well equipped to handle his threat. Having already played in Dubai, they do have an idea of what will be on offer at that venue and Mitchell Santner will definitely fancy his team’s chances in the summit clash. Matt Henry is a dout for the final and the Kiwis will wait till the last moment to take a call.
Virat Kohli’s record in ICC knockout games has made him a fan favourite over the last few years. In each of the last two ICC white-ball finals, he contributed two valiant innings, and the onus will be on him to set the ball rolling. For New Zealand, Rachin Ravindra seems to be tailor made for ICC events as all of his five ODI hundreds have come in ICC tournaments.
