The Madhya Pradesh government has started the process of free admissions under the Right to Education (RTE) Act for the academic year 2025–26. From today, private schools will display the number of available RTE seats on the official education portal.
Online applications will begin on May 7 and remain open until May 21. Parents can fill out the form and make corrections during this period. To apply, parents must visit the education portal, find nearby private schools, and check available seats class-wise.
Once the application is submitted, original documents must be verified at the Government Jan Shiksha Kendra between May 7 and May 23. Verification is mandatory for the application to move forward.
After verification, an online lottery system will be used to allot schools. Selected applicants will receive information through SMS by May 29. If selected, the child must take admission between June 2 and June 10. Schools will report admissions through a mobile app.
Applicants can only select private schools listed in their village, ward, or surrounding area. Schools without government grants are part of this process. All details, including the list of schools, available seats, and age criteria, are available on the education portal.
For nursery admission, the child must be between 3 and 4 years 6 months old. For KG-1, the age should be between 4 and 5 years 6 months. For KG-2, the age must be 5 to 6 years 6 months. For class 1, the child should be between 6 and 7 years 6 months.
This comprehensive directory provides a detailed list of privately-operated educational establishments in Madhya Pradesh, categorized by district, that are providing enrollment opportunities through the Right to Education (RTE) initiative.
Parents can visit their District Education Office if they need help or have questions. The School Education Department has asked officials to complete all steps within the given dates.
