Mumbai Indians made it to the IPL playoffs in 2015, a season in which they were eventually crowned as champions. MI had a season for the history-books, after losing five out of their opening six games of the season. After the torrid start, Rohit Sharma & Co. won nine (including the final) of their next ten matches, to lift their second-ever IPL title.

Chennai Super Kings had a similar fate in 2010 when they lost five of their opening seven matches. CSK had a remarkable turn-around midway through the season, winning seven of their remaining nine matches to clinch their first-ever IPL title.
Kolkata Knight Riders mounted a comeback for the ages, during their title-winning campaign in 2014. The KKR went on a nine-match unbeaten run, to emerge victorious over Kings XI Punjab in the IPL 2014 Final. The comeback came after Gautam Gambhir’s men lost five of their first seven matches of the campaign.

Mumbai Indians came a tad-bit close to winning the IPL in 2014. MI qualified for the IPL playoffs, after losing six of their first eight games of the season. Their campaign was cut-short, with a loss to Chennai Super Kings in the Eliminator game of the knockouts.
