Maharashtra RTE admissions: The Maharashtra RTE Admission 2025 lottery results are being announced today, February 10. Over 3.05 lakh students applied for 1.09 lakh seats across 8,863 schools in the state. Pune alone received 61,687 applications for 18,507 seats. Parents will receive SMS notifications and can check their results online at student.maharashtra.gov.in. The admission process begins around February 15.
Maharashtra RTE admissions: The Maharashtra Right to Education (RTE) admissions lottery results for the 2025 academic session will be announced today, February 10. Parents who applied under the 25% reservation quota for economically weaker and disadvantaged groups will receive SMS notifications on their registered mobile numbers regarding their child’s admission status.
According to official data, Pune district alone recorded 61,687 applications for just 18,507 available seats across 960 schools. The RTE admission process is managed by the Directorate of Primary Education, which facilitates free admission to private schools for eligible students.
The Maharashtra state government reimburses the schools for the admitted students’ fees, ensuring access to quality education for underprivileged children.
Statewide, 1,09,111 seats have been allocated across 8,863 private schools for the 2025-26 academic session. This year, a total of 3,05,161 students applied for RTE admissions in Maharashtra, reflecting the high demand for this initiative.
The admission process was conducted in two phases: from January 14 to 27 and January 27 to February 2. The lottery was conducted as scheduled on February 10 without any extensions, and the admission process is set to begin around February 15.

Parents can check their child’s RTE admission status by following these steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website: Go to student.maharashtra.gov.in.
Step 2: Locate the RTE admission section: Look for a dedicated link related to RTE admissions.
Step 3: Enter application details: Provide your application number, date of birth, or other required credentials.
Step 4: View the result: The system will display whether your child has secured an RTE seat.
